Chris Raine

Chris has over 27 years experience in the UK construction market. A Chartered Engineer since 1986 and a graduate of Heriot Watt University in 1981, he gained extensive experience with UK major and regional main contractors for the first 14 years in building and civil engineering works and ten years with specialist concrete sub-contracts including slip forming, cores, frames, pre-cast, industrial flooring and repairs. From an initial base working in both civil and building contracts ranging from £200m to £1m, he has set up specialist regional divisions, developed specialist sub-contract businesses and advised clients on bid management, constructability methods, programming, construction outputs and sequences, CDM co-ordination and commercial/public building energy performance assessment.
He has had ten years direct experience working at General, Regional Manager and latterly Group Construction Director level before specialising in construction consultancy - project management for clients and designers. Chris has many years experience in the use of planning software, which he uses to present project management information in support of client commissions, preparation of critical path tender programmes and baselines, monthly updates and warnings, cash flow reports, as-built programmes and time slice analysis.
Chris is a Registered Member of the Association for Project Safety to fully demonstrate compliance with the 2007 CDM Regulations to carry out the role of CDM Co-ordinator. He is also approved and certified by the BRE to issue up to Level 4S Energy Performance Certificates for non-domestic commercial and public sector buildings.
